With LASIK, how does the ablation depth change with treatment size?

Munnerlyn’s approximation says that depth is related to the treatment-diameter squared (devided by 3). For example, if you double the treatment zone from 4mm to 8mm, the ablation depth will quadruple from 5 microns to 20 microns.
