The long posterior ciliary nerves innervate the cornea. These arise from the nasolacrimal nerve, which is a branch off V1 (ophthalmic division of the trigeminal). Remember that the nasolacrimal nerve also supplies the tip of the nose and is responsable for Hutchinson’s sign seen with Zoster.
