By what mechanism can kids have vitreous hemorrhaging in juvenile x-linked retinoschisis?

The idea here is that you get schisis cavities that form in the nerve fiber layer with eventual obliteration of everything in this layer of tissue. This leaves the blood vessels bare and prone to bleeding.
