What is polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy?

This is also known as “posterior uveal bleeding syndrome,” where you get multiple and recurrent serosanguinous RPE detachments that can look like the hemorrhagic detachments of AMD. It is more prevelent in darker-pigmented individuals, but has been described in all races.
