What is the volume of the anterior and vitreous chambers?

The vitreous chamber is 4ml. The anterior chamber is about 150 to 250 microliters (0.15 to 0.25 ml) depending upon the age and lens size. In other words, if you are performing an anterior paracentesis and you pull back much more than a tenth of a TB syringe, you’ll flatten the chamber.  Since aqueous is produced at a rate of 2 microliters a minute, then the AC will reform in a few hours.
